Foundation Review - Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua Foundation
If you want to treat yourself to a premium quality foundation then Chanel is a great place to start. Their Instant Natural Radiance Vitalumiere Aqua foundation is a light, water-based, medium coverage foundation which feels light on the skin and blends smoothly and easily with fingers, sponge or brush (Chanel recommend fingertip application).
As I always maintain, quality products may be pricey but a little goes a long way, so for £31 you should only need to use a small amount per application and can expect the 30ml bottle to last a long time providing you use a light, even coverage.
It's beautifully packaged, complete with indepth instruction leaflet and although some may wish the bottle was glass and not plastic, I actually prefer this as it takes away the worry of smashing the bottle and waving goodbye to an unfinished expensive purchase (which has happened!).
As it is water based, you have to shake it thoroughly before use or it will separate and be unworkable. Used correctly, it will provide a beautiful radiant glow and feel like a second skin. A major bonus is the inclusion of SPF 15 and the HD formula means it'll transfer well to television and film. It has a light, almost floral fragrance which I'm not mad about, but that's a purely personal preference and doesn't detract from the quality of the product.
Research suggests that make-up purchases increase in a recession, so if you're counting the pennies but are in desperate need of a cosmetic treat, why not save up a little longer and experience a foundation that will make you look radiant, glowing and feel a million dollars. You can view the full range on the Chanel website.
